Believe it or not, the holiday shopping season is upon us. Similar to 2013, this year's holiday shopping season will be a short one, with only 26 total shopping days between Black Friday and Christmas, so more and more women might plan to shop online if lack of time or large crowds prevent them from getting to the mall. As part of the POPSUGAR Insights Q3 retail-apparel study, we wanted to better understand what percentage of their total combined holiday apparel and accessory gift spending women plan to spend online.
Overall, 43% of women plan to spend over half of their total apparel spending online during the upcoming short holiday season. Three percent of women plan to spend 100% of their clothing, shoes, and accessory purchases online, 14% plan to spend between 75% and 99% online, and 26% plan to spend between 50% and 74% online. Just over one quarter of women (27%) plan to spend less than 25% of their total apparel spending online, and 29% plan to spend 25% to 49% online.
