92% of Women Would Exercise Daily to Live 10 Years Longer

As part of the POPSUGAR Insights 2014 Healthy Living Report, we wanted to understand how committed women were to pursuing a healthy lifestyle. So, in light of studies that showed that even 15 minutes of daily exercise could add years to your life, we decided to ask women if they'd commit to exercise one hour per day in order to add a decade to their life.

Overall, 92% of women said they would commit to exercising one hour per day if it would add 10 years to their life. A higher percentage of women between the ages of 21 and 24 (97%) said they would as compared to younger women (ages 18-20) or more mature women (between the ages of 30 and 40). Hispanic women (96%) were more likely than non-Hispanics to commit to an hour of exercise, and a nearly equal percentage of parents (91%) and nonparents (92%) said they would agree to sweat for an hour to add 10 years to their life.
