Carrie Bradshaw once said, "I like my money right where I can see it: hanging in my closet." Ninety-four percent of women follow in her sartorial footsteps and believe that it's important to look their best every day. As part of the POPSUGAR Insights Q3 retail-apparel study, we asked women to share details about their personal styles and apparel shopping and purchasing habits.
Overall, 73% of women feel that it is "extremely important" or "important" to look their best every day, with another 26% feeling that is either "moderately" or "somewhat" important. Only 1% of women think that looking their best is not important.
Brands trying to reach the 99% of women who want to look good can take advantage of this impulse by creating inspirational content that helps women stay engaged or informative content that suggests outfits to help women find new items to buy or make the most of what they currently have in their closets.
