Nordstrom and Target rule the roost when it comes to online shopping and customer satisfaction. Not only did they tie for first place in terms of where women have purchased apparel or accessories online in the last six months, but they also ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in terms of customer satisfaction among women.
As part of the POPSUGAR Insights Q3 retail-apparel study, we asked women to rate a list of retailers based on their opinions of and past experiences with each on a five-point scale ranging from "very satisfied" to "extremely unsatisfied." Looking at top 2 box responses (very satisfied and satisfied), Nordstrom ranked No. 1, with 58% of women saying they were very satisfied or satisfied with their experiences. Target ranked second overall, with 53% of women saying they were very satisfied or satisfied. Nordstrom and Target were also the only two retailers that enjoyed a majority of positive satisfaction responses.
Macy's ranked third overall, with 47% of women saying they were very satisfied or satisfied with their experiences. After Macy's, all of the retailers in our sample set had satisfaction levels below 35%, including Bloomingdale's (33%), Neiman Marcus (31%), Saks (30%), T.J.Maxx (28%), Marshalls (27%), Kohl's (27%) and JCPenney (25%).
