Video content is an increasingly engaging and effective way for women to learn more about the lifestyle topics they are passionate about, and as part of the POPSUGAR Insights/ulive 2014 lifestyle video study, we asked women to share the lifestyle categories they are most interested in learning more about via video content.
Overall, 77% of women are interested to learn more about food and cooking content via video content. Sixty-seven percent of women want to learn more about entertainment content, and 65% seek additional information about wellness, health, or fitness content. Less than half of all women were interested in learning more about smart living or personal technology content or parenting content via video, perhaps preferring text-based content for those content areas.
Among specific audience segments, households with children (86%) were especially interested in learning more about food and cooking content via video, as were food enthusiasts (92%), as one might expect. Households with young children under 6 were more likely to be interested in obtaining more information about beauty content via video (71%).
Avid video viewers (women who stream 240+ minutes of lifestyle video content per month) are most interested in learning more about food and cooking (86%); entertainment (80%); wellness, health, and fitness (77%); and beauty content via video.
